Excitement is building for the 2012 Castlemaine and District Agricultural
Society's annual show, which will be held this coming weekend - November 2 and
3.
This year the show will feature the usual Street Parade starting at the Old Castlemaine Fire Station in Templeton Street Castlemaine on Friday, November 2 at 6.30pm. The parade goes down Barker Street, turns right at Forest Street and then over to the Camp Reserve where all of the show activities will be held.
Popular events include the wood chop and the fleece competition, which has already attracted stacks of entries.
The DON KR fireworks display is on November 2 at 9.45pm.
Don't miss all the fun of the side shows, local foodies and showbags.
Horses will be put through their paces with classes for pony club events and the sheep judging will feature Merino, Corriedale and an added feature of some Middle Eastern sheep Dorpers.
Admission is adults $10, pensioners/concession/student $5 and children under six years are admitted free.
All schedules and entry forms available from the website www.castlemaineshow.com.au or drop in and see Debbie at the show office at Camp Reserve in Castlemaine.
