Cathouse Players is will be presenting Trap for a Lonely Man by Robert Thomas – tickets $15 concession/$20 full price and Red Hill Hotel is offering two courses (soup + main or main + dessert) for $15 for patrons to the show.

Set in a French chalet in the 1950s, this terrific three-act play has more twists and turns than the long and winding road, and the audience will be left guessing until the very last lines of the play.

In the tradition of the classic mystery plays, the company is asking audience members not to divulge the ending to their friends because it really is a cracker finale that needs to be enjoyed by everybody.

Superb Murder/Mystery in Chewton

A new theatre company in Chewton will be performing some superb dramas, mysteries and comedies at the Chewton Senior Citizens Centre from next month (June, 2013).

The company is called the Cathouse Players Inc and it has a wonderful reputation spanning more than 30 years in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

Under the artistic direction of Bette Sartore, Cathouse Players has won stacks of awards over the years with its high quality productions.

The company folded a few years back but the good news for theatre lovers is that Bette has moved to central Victoria and fallen in love with Chewton Senior Citizens Centre.

“I knew from the moment I saw it that it was perfect venue for small cast productions,” Bette said. “I can’t wait to present a show there.”

Bette soon assembled a very talented, experienced ensemble and reformed the Cathouse Players to perform great shows in Chewton.

The company’s first production will be Trap for a Lonely Man by Robert Thomas.
